Peel Zoo
Peel Zoo
Peel Zoo is a boutique, hands-on zoo, in a lush setting on the banks of the Murray River. What makes Peel Zoo really unique is the 'hands-on experience' you get here. Hand feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a fox, tickle a ferret. There are well over 100 species of birds and animals that will capture your imagination: koalas, wombats, bettongs, exotic birds, reptiles, bengal cats, spotted quolls, possums, owls and more. The huge walk-through aviary and Tasmanian Devils are star attractions.
There are also peacocks, ducks, and chickens that free-range throughout the property. And, because of the native wetland setting, they are often accompanied by spoon bills, ibis and swamp hens. Peel Zoo truly is a magnificent menagerie.
The school holidays is a great time to visit the Zoo and is an awesome location for school camps, excursions and children's parties.
If you can't make it to the Zoo, they can come to you. Ask about their Zoo2U mobile display.
