Waroona Dam
Waroona Dam
Waroona Dam is 10 kilometres east of the township of Waroona and is a popular spot for water-skiing, camping and bushwalking. Seasonal freshwater fishing is another popular pastime with trout, perch and marron in abundance (licence required).
During late winter Waroona Dam often overflows creating a spectacle as the water rushes down the dam wall.
Visitors can stay at the nearby forest caravan park (camping, caravans and chalets) or camp lakeside in the designated area (fees apply).
Waroona is just over an hour's drive south of Perth, thirty minutes from Mandurah and 50 minutes north of Bunbury.
