Bring a sense commitment to do whatever it takes to create a learning environment that fosters learning at the highest levels. Possess an open sense of passion for what you do. Show your students every day that you care about all of them, especially the ones who believe no one does. Bring Plan A through Plan Z because you will need to be flexible. When things don't go as planned, you need to be ready to change gears. Bring a willingness to learn from the veteran teachers, what they do well and what they do not do so well. Possess an understanding that everything you do has the potential to impact your students in a profound way, so make the best of each and every interaction you have with them. Bring integrity to your classroom. Don't pretend to know it all. If you make a mistake, and you will, or you don't know something, plan for how you will handle this. Finally, bring your knowledge and your own unique way of using it to nurture your students.
