If I have to summarize my view on tutoring it would be the following: -There is nothing wrong about not knowing something, it just means nobody told you properly before... There is nothing wrong with not understanding something, it just means nobody explained it properly before... In order to understand, all you have to be is interested...- My name Is Samuel, a 25 year old Belgium born biologist who (obviously) moved to Australia. As a child there was nothing I enjoyed more than learning, and there was nothing I hated more than studying... I don't think this is a contradiction. Moreover It has become a core philosophy for my tutoring work. Learning something should not necessarily be a game, but there's no point in making in boring...And a healthy dose of variation and enthusiasm is al you need to keep things fascinating. I have a passion for science (and i hope that won't rub of on you more than you want), and I was raised in 2 languages; And as a note for people who've never studied another language before: Dutch is much more similar to English that the vast majority of other languages. That makes it an ideal place to start. So whether you are a parent worried about your child school results, a student drowning in your courses, or a language enthusiast hoping to expand your linguistic skills; let me know.
