I graduated from St George Girls' High School (among the top 10 schools in Sydney) with an ATAR of 99.60, OP1 and currently study Dentistry at Griffith University. I have tutored numerous juniors in Maths back in high school and have brought their marks up from the 60s to the 80s and 90s. I have also helped a Year 12 student come second in his grade for Chemistry! He was originally ranked 20th. My High School Certificate marks in 2013: 96 for Extension 1 Maths 95 for Extension 2 Maths 93 for Chemistry and Biology 92 for Advanced English Everyone learns best using a different method and also at a different pace. I will tailor my lessons and explanations to the way you or your child learn best. I am a very thorough and patient teacher and will do everything to help you understand, learn and perform to your full potential. I will help you get the 90 or 95 you are aiming for. I will be constantly teaching you answering techniques and exam techniques to maximize your marks. I believe that strengthening one's foundation in subjects like Maths and Chemistry will help you to grasp advanced concepts much more easily but I will focus just as much, or solely on your syllabus requirements depending on your situation. Other than teaching you the content, my ultimate goal is not to "fish" for you, but to teach you to "fish", by helping you to adopt study methods and techniques best suited to you to help you become an independent learner. I am a native English speaker. FEES: Year 12 QSC: $30 per hour (1 to1) for Chemistry, Biology, Maths A and B, ESL, Calculus and Chinese. $36 ph in total for 2 students. Year 12 IB: $35ph (1 to1) or $46 ph (2 students) for SL Maths, $30 ph or $36(2 students) for Chemistry, Biology and ESL and Chinese. Year 11: $27 ph 1 to 1 or $34 ph for 2 students for Chemistry, Biology, Maths, ESL, Calculus and Chinese. Year 7 to 10: $25ph 1 on 1 or $30ph for 2 students Maths, English, ESL, Science and Chinese Year 1 to 6: $25 ph for all subjects
