I am passionate about biology and thoroughly enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the subject with learners from every walk of life and education level. I have completed a Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honours), undertaking subjects in zoology, genetics, botany and the philosophy of science, and I am soon to complete a PhD in Zoology at the University of Melbourne. I have also tutored and demonstrated in several undergraduate biology, zoology and philosophy subjects to further develop my knowledge base and helping me to gain teaching skills. Through each of my teaching positions, I have gained a strong general knowledge and awareness of education and learning techniques, both from a theoretical angle and through practice. I am more than happy to cater for the individual needs of students and also prepare tutorial sessions for small groups of students, anywhere from Years 3-12 in the topic areas of General Science, Biology, Essay Writing, Philosophy and Study/Research Skills.
