Hi there, My name is Chris and I'm 26 years old. Over the last two years I've become involved in tutoring students and am presently working at being able to teach English overseas and eventually be qualified to teach here in Australia. I have a passion for language and am also presently continuing my studies of Spanish. I am a traveler and love seeking out and learning about new things and people. I love connecting with people through teaching and through language, which I see as a guide to connecting to people in general. I am enthusiastic about this because the whole field is a passion of mine: I love reading, writing, literature, linguistics, philosophy; basically everything stemming from language, including and emphatically story-telling and creative elements. I am also a musician and am confident teaching guitar; I write my own songs and love to sing and play with others, as this is another beautiful way I love connecting with others. Within the next month or two I will have completed my TEFL course and be qualified to teach overseas. I am eager to start helping people out and putting my skills and passions to use! My availability will vary depending on where you are located. I am happy to travel, though I don't have a car, so public transport would be the go for me. Small groups or individuals are welcome and I'm happy to negotiate rates depending on the situation. I have studied and am widely familiar with language elements such as punctuation, grammar, intonation, phrasing, etc. through my studies and general interest. If any specific area is desired, this can easily be organised. I'd also love to work with anyone of a Spanish-speaking or Latin American background, as I am have been learning Spanish since I traveled to Latin America two years ago, and more recently last year. I structure my lessons according to YOU and what you're after in English Language learning, English or English Literature as a school subject, Philosophy or Music (guitar). With my guitar teaching, I am proficient only to an intermediate level of theory, but I can teach by ear or using scales and chord charts (and other bits and pieces), or however you'd like to learn!
