Definition of wealth | SubjectCoach

Wealth is the difference between your assets and debt. So, your wealth is found by taking the value of everything you owe away from the value of everything you own.

Another term for wealth is "net worth". A person's assets may include their property, cash, shares and debentures.

For example, if Al owns a car worth \(\$23,000\), a house worth \(\$400,000\), has \(\$2,500\) in his bank account and owes Sam \(\$500\), then Al's wealth is equal to

\(\$23,000 + \$400,000 + \$2,500 - \$500 = \$425,000\).
