In this short course we will explore what SSH is. This course is split into multiple parts such as

  1. Introduction to SSH
  2. Generating a Key Pair to make connections
  3. Accessing remote servers using SSH client
  4. Various scenarios SSH can be used in
  5. Installing SSH server

Primary objective of this course is to get you up and running with SSH.

You should try to master SCP and SSH commands, explore different flag for each of these commands.
There are a lot of advanced options for SCP command, say for instance. You can enable compression, tell SCP to use IPV 4 or IPV 6 addresses etc.

As an exercise, you can also try to setup password less entry to your server, this is handy when you have to move files across servers, using automated scripts.
This can be a security bad.

We have covered Putty a bit, you can customize putty's look and feel, such as fon or font size. There is so much more to learn.
