Definition of Univariate Data

Univariate data is data that represents only one variable such as length or mass.

For example, if you measure the lengths of the ears of these bunnies you might get the following results:

8.8 cm, 8.5 cm, 9.2 cm, 10.1 cm, 8.6 cm, 9.4 cm

This is a univariate data set. The one variable is "length of bunny ear"

If you wanted to consider two variables such as length of bunny ear and bunny weight, you'd create a bivariate data set.
