I am currently undergoing a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. I have been tutoring as a side job throughout my entire undergraduate degree. I can offer students not only textbook knowledge but also methods of studying. In the three years of tutoring, I have come to accrue a bit of knowledge in the NSW teaching curriculum. My teaching material reflects that of what is expected from the curriculum so the students will always be in line with school. At this point, you might be thinking that being in line with the school's expectation is not good enough; but in reference to a structural building, without its firm foundations, the building would most likely collapse under stress. It is not too different in terms of a child's learning progression. In contrary to tutoring centres where they overfeed the students with 'new' and 'unheard' of material way ahead of time, my methods of teaching is to reinforce what the students are learning in school in order to form a more stabilised foundation.
