Hi! My name is Aleksander. As a high school student I attended one of the best schools in Poland, located on Raszynska Street, and I passed the International Baccalaureate in 2012 with 42 points, which was the highest grade in my school. Subsequently, I was admitted to the Paris Institute of Political Science, also referred to as Sciences Po. After two years of studying subjects ranging from law to economy and political science, I was given a unique opportunity of becoming one of the first 5 students admitted to the Dual Degree Program between Sciences Po and the University of Sydney, which explains why my photograph appeared on the University’s website (http://sydney.edu.au/news/arts/2228.html?newsstoryid=13745). While studying at each of the institutions, I understood that a student’s performance and the ultimate success of his long term projects is dependent not only on his talent and motivation, but also on his environment. Many teachers are able to make students love the subject they teach. Many others, achieve a completely opposite result, and turn studying into a complete boredom. This, of course, has a direct impact on the child’s results in the final exam, and beyond the final exam. A good advice from a friend, teacher or parent often helps the child to choose the right university and career path. This is especially important in today’s world, which is full of university courses costing a lot and leading to nearly certain unemployment. For this reason, when I tutor children, I always try to do what a good teacher does.
