I'm Rafael Poli, a 29 year old with a true passion for languages and literature. I have been tutoring for over 8 year now and have had great fun and success with my students, ranging from middle school to college-age, and non-traditional students. I really like one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging my students with fun and challenging activities. I like to present the Portuguese language in real world situations to allow my students to fully understand the relevance of knowing the language itself and using it for communication purposes in their lives. In my lessons, students develop their reading, listening, writing and speaking skills in a fun and effective way. Grammar is studied in context with focus on communication. I often require students to acquire a textbook for reference, but in the lessons we use a wide variety of material from different sources. I love teaching all levels, from beginners to advanced students. I am available from Monday through Saturday, and I teach either in the city or in Annandale, where parking is much easier if you're driving.
