As a student who has personally gone through and experienced the GAMSAT exam 3 times in the past two years, excelling with a section 3 score of 77, I understand the frustrations most people go through when it comes to preparation. The exam itself is mental challenge that must be conquered with ones ability to critically think and analyse under a time-stressed period. Although familiarity with the topics in the exam plays a large role in boosting exam score, it is overshadowed by the person's ability to apply their knowledge and use exam techniques to decipher the question being asked. Luckily, this can be learned from demonstrations and teachings of a skilled tutor to prevent unnecessary hours of despair, wondering how to tackle the 3 hour science section. Although I can teach all the content, I strongly advise all my students to study their material at home so our time is efficiently spent on tackling areas of weakness and uncertainty.
