I have had five years' experience tutoring Maths and Physics to students with a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, from primary school through to undergraduate students. I focus on ensuring that you have the right background knowledge necessary to become confident in tackling harder problems. Different students need things explained to them in different ways, and I pride myself on being able to come up with the explanation that makes the material make sense to you. After completing high school in South Australia I pursued a degree in Physics and Mathematics, and am currently working toward a PhD in theoretical physics. This is the strongest indication I can give for my interest in and passion for maths and science, I want to be able to share this excitement, and pass some of that on to you. Regardless of your current level of understanding or confidence, I want to work with you to get to where you want and need to be to achieve your goals. I have worked as a university tutor as well as a private tutor, but one of my major assets as a tutor is that I also have experience from working as a scientist with a peak research body, so I have a real understanding of real-world outcomes. I am familiar with the new Australian Curriculum, 1st year UTas mathematics and physics content.
