Teaching has been my pride and joy for over forty years. I decided to go into teaching on account of the exceptional examples of teachers who changed my life and I simply want to emulate them to the best of my ability. I have successfully tutored well over three thousand students so far. I hold a PhD in Media Communication and Culture from Murdoch University and a first class Honours BA English from Curtin University, with a double major in Film & TV and Creative Writing. I am driven by the wish to share my expertise and experience to help students from final years of high school, those who wish to prepare for tertiary studies, and those engaged in tertiary studies. I am available by appointment and will work weekends. I will gladly work online for students who do not live in my area of residence. I am an expert in online as well as face-to-face teaching. Having examined postgraduate submissions, including PhD, I can help you at whatever level of education you find yourself at this point in time. I adapt my tutoring material and my approach to your specific needs and aspirations. I am a published author and translator. I have extensive experience as unit developer, lecturer, tutor, and examiner. I am an expert in academic writing, essay writing in particular. My research is in semiotics and the postmodern philosophy. I am fluent in French and in Dutch, as well as in English. We work together to help you succeed.
