I have a great passion for developing a love of learning, and have been an influential teacher for 3 years. I have a strong commitment to creating a learning environment in which students are valued, challenged and encouraged, thereby fostering their ability to achieve excellence and continue a love of learning. Education is a vital part of life, and every student should have the opportunity to expand their knowledge in a way that meets their learning needs. I completed my Bachelors degree in Education in 2011, which has allowed me to teach from Prep to Year 12. I offer tutoring for students as young as Prep level all the way up to Year 12. I am qualified to teach all subject areas in Primary School, and Humanities, History, Art and English in Secondary School. I offer tutoring for all of these areas. When I first meet with a student, I allow them to tell me a little about themselves, how they find school and what difficulties they have come across, as well as their strengths. This allows me to gain a better understanding of what level they're progressing at academically. I like to discuss their preferred type of learning, so I can then develop plans to assist them with progressing in a positive direction. Each student is an individual, not all students learn best in a classroom environment. My tutoring allows each student to explore their abilities without feeling intimidated, assisting them with their understanding of the subject areas they're finding difficulties in. I am available for home visits after 5pm on the following days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. I am also available between the hours of 10am-3pm most Saturdays (upon request).
