Hi, I'm Paddy. I'm a pianist, improviser and composer. I completed my B.Mus at NMIT Fairfield, and have been teaching for four years: at the Napier Street Music School (Moonee Ponds), Voodoo Child Music (Surrey Hills) and privately. I've been learning piano since age six, and have extensive experience in both classical and modern styles, as well as theory, improvisation and preparing students for AMEB examinations. I've been taught by renowned jazz pianist and composer Gemma Turvey, and have performed at many diverse venues around Melbourne, including The Forum Theatre, The Toff in Town, The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, The Tote and The Esplanade Hotel. I believe in a holistic approach to piano tuition: one that nurtures not only piano technique but a range of areas of musicianship. My communication skills are excellent, and my lessons are fun as they are educational. Lessons take place at my studio in Sydney Road, Brunswick. I can be pretty flexible with times, including weekends. Beginners to intermediate students of all ages are welcome.
