Gross

Definition of Gross

Gross is the value of something before any deductions are made.

For example, the gross weight of something is its weight before all of its packaging is taken off. Your gross income is your income before tax and any other deductions are taken away.

"Gross" is also a word used to mean \(12\) dozen, which is the same as \(144\).

Description

The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
