Definition of Net
In geometry, a net is a paper pattern that you can cut out and fold to build a model of a solid shape.
The picture on the left shows a net of a rectangular prism, and the solid that is formed once it has been folded.
In finance, net salary means the money that is left after all deductions such as tax, superannuation and union dues have been made.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
