Net Weight
Definition of Net Weight
The net weight of an object is the weight of the object without its packaging.
For example, the can in the picture has a net weight of \(535 \text{ g}\). This means that the soup weighs \(535 \text{ g}\) on its own, without the can. As you work out from the reading on the scales, the can and label weigh \(72 \text{ g}\)
