A nominal number is a number that is only used as a name. It has no actual value, and doesn't indicate a position. It is only used to identify something.

Some examples of nominal numbers are:

  • The number \(453\) on this car.
  • The number on a T20 cricketer's shirt.
  • A model number such as 777

Description

The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
