I offer math and science tutoring. I'm a student studying a double degree of science and math, majoring in chemistry for science. I've been tutoring for a year. I've tutored in math grades 3, 6, 8, 11 and 12, and first year uni students. I've also tutored chemistry for grades 11 and 12 and for both first and second year students. I've helped students from a wide range of ages, and seen many different learning styles, and in the end of each session it's so rewarding seeing them happy, more confident with themselves. Tutoring is a passion for me, i love the experience of helping people. I live in moggill, so i often tutor students around the area, however i will also tutor students in the city if it's convenient with when i finish uni for the day. The most successful tutoring i have done, has been when i have a structure set up with the student. It's different per student, but some of the examples are: The night before i'm emailed a list of the areas i should help with, or when they know exactly what they are learning each week so i can set up a plan. On the contrary, the students who are unable to provide a structure, for example one week i help them with homework and the next week there is none and they are not sure where to go next, quickly the students/parents start questioning if tutoring is what they need.
