I am in my final year of a Bachelors of Science/Arts at the University of Queensland. I have a broad range of knowledge including biology/biomedical sciences, ancient history, mathematics, English, essay writing & research and music (various instruments and knowledge of theory). I have been playing guitar for eight years now as well as studying Biomedical Science and Ancient History at university since the beginning of 2011. I have experience in tutoring students in lower and upper primary school, high school and those of a mature age. Further, I have experience in tutoring students with learning disabilities. My biomedical science major has provided me with great knowledge of topics such as genetics, molecular cell biology, cell/tissue and systems physiology, anatomy, immunology and microbiology. I particulaly enjoy tutoring the broad area of 'homework help' (Mathematics/English & Spelling/Sciences/The Arts) for those in primary school and lower high school. I love working with kids and have a valid Blue Card. I am located 10-15 mins drive north of the Brisbane CBD (Wilston/Grange area) and can offer quiet study environments for my tutoring sessions or I can come to you. My teaching approach is very interactive and taken step-by-step. Lessons are based on my students' current abilities and focused on building their capacity for completely understanding a subject while working through any problems at an appropriate rate.
