As a middle and secondary school teacher, I am a professional educator with a degree in teaching. Prior to teaching I attained a double degree in Business and International Studies. I am a tutor and teacher because I enjoy working with young people and develop great relationships. My focus is on building the success and confidence of young people academically and socially. Tutoring sessions can use the student's own notes and assignments or I can provide the materials and activities. I adapt activities and my teaching style to meet the different needs of students. I welcome students from primary, middle and secondary school and TAFE students. Sessions begin with a conversation with the student. I will ask the student to outline the concept/(s) they need assistance with and what they understand of it so far. Teaching will begin as I explain the importance of the concept and how it is used. I will work through examples together with the student and then guide the student to try some independently. I will subsequently provide feedback. Available on weeknights from 4:30pm to 9:30 and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
