My name is Akii Ngo and I am a very experienced biology tutor who has helped numerous student, especially during stressful periods of beginning year 12, exams and tests. I've several years of experience and have myself, completed a Bachelor's in Human Nutrition in 2012 making myself very knowledgeable in the biology field. In addition, I have just completed post graduate studies in Chronic Condition Management (specialising in health and disability). Despite these qualifications, I have what I personally think is the most important quality to be a tutor - connectivity. I am readily able to connect with my students, and always strive to go above and beyond to provide the assistance required. As such, I am constantly changing my teaching styles to find out what works best for you, the student. I am a hard worker and I tend to bring out the best in people to ensure that they get the results that they not only deserve, but have earned. Whilst having a degree may make some think that I am out of touch with the needs of High School biology, this is not true. I have been tutoring Biology extensively for the past four years as one of my main part time jobs, and before then in assisting friends and family. I pride myself in the quality of teaching I deliver, but simultaneously am happy to adapt, and alter if things aren't working to their full potential. I have never been one to equate quality tutoring with specific qualifications or academic achievements, as I think a good tutor is one who is patient, kind, persevering and dedicated. To those however whom think otherwise some of my achievements include: - Currently Masters of Clinical Nursing at University of Adelaide (2014) - Currently studying a Certificate in Training & Assessment (2014) at TAFESA - English Language Teacher in Japan for 1 year (2013) - Successful completion of PostGraduate Certificate in Chronic Health Management at the age of 20 in 2013 - Successful completion of a Bachelor's of Human Nutrition at Flinders University at the age of 19 in 2012 - Completion of High School in 2008 at St. Aloysius College at the age of 16. - Achieved a score of 19.5 for year 12 Biology - Achieved a score of 19 for year 12 PE I am also a recognised volunteer, and am frequently involved with Starlight, the Cancer Council and Camp Quality. Whilst I tutor specifically for year 11-12 Biology, Physical Education and 1st year university level Biology, part of my sessions always involve teaching learning skills that will be used for life.
