Greetings, I am trained as a Primary School teacher and as such, I know education is more than just numeracy and literacy skills. Modern education wants the students to be able to work on projects. However, unless the student has good numeracy and literacy skills such project work is difficult. That is why your child may be struggling at school. Fix up the basics before secondary school and your child will enjoy school for the learning they will obtain. Otherwise your child will hate school because it is ‘all too hard’.
