Solve right-triangle trigonometry problems

Use sine, cosine, and tangent ratios in labelled right-triangle diagrams and explain the side relationships.

Paper 1 6 marks Difficulty 2

Right-triangle trigonometry

In a right triangle, relative to \(\theta\), the opposite side is \(10\), adjacent side is \(24\), and hypotenuse is \(26\). Find \(\sin\theta\), \(\cos\theta\), and \(\tan\theta\).

Worked practice: right-triangle ratios

Use opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse consistently for each trigonometric ratio.
