IB skill practice

Use standing wave and resonance relationships

Paper 1, Paper 2 5 marks Difficulty 4

Harmonic frequency from fundamental

In a second version of the same wave investigation, a resonator in a music room resonance test has fundamental frequency \(155\,\text{Hz}\). Calculate the frequency of harmonic \(n=4\). Use the diagram first, then calculate the requested value. Enter the numerical result and choose the interpretation that matches the wave meaning.

Worked practice: physics data and result

Read the physical quantities first, then calculate the result and state what it means.
