Circular Cylinder Formulas
Volume:
$V = πr²h$
Surface Area:
$SA = 2πr(r + h) = 2πr² + 2πrh$
Lateral Area:
$LA = 2πrh$
Where $r$ is the radius of the base and $h$ is the height of the cylinder.
Example:
For a cylinder with radius 3 units and height 5 units:
- Volume = π × 3² × 5 = 45π ≈ 141.37 cubic units
- Surface Area = 2π × 3 × (3 + 5) = 48π ≈ 150.80 square units
- Lateral Area = 2π × 3 × 5 = 30π ≈ 94.25 square units
