Rectangular Prism Formulas
A rectangular prism (cuboid) has rectangular faces and right angles.
Volume:
$V = l × w × h$
Surface Area:
$SA = 2(lw + wh + lh)$
Space Diagonal:
$d = √(l² + w² + h²)$
Where $l$ is length, $w$ is width, and $h$ is height.
Example:
For a rectangular prism with dimensions 6 × 4 × 3 units:
- Volume = 6 × 4 × 3 = 72 cubic units
- Surface Area = 2(6×4 + 4×3 + 6×3) = 2(24 + 12 + 18) = 108 square units
- Space Diagonal = √(6² + 4² + 3²) = √(36 + 16 + 9) = √61 ≈ 7.81 units
