Definition of Month
A month is one of the 12 time periods into which the year is divided.
Each month of the year has a different name.
In order, the 12 months of the year are January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December.
Most months have \(30\) or \(31\) days, but February is shorter. It has \(28\) days in a normal year, and \(29\) days in a leap year.
People often use \(4\) weeks to approximate a month. This is called a lunar month because it is approximately equal to the time between one new moon and the next.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
