Velocity
Definition of velocity
Velocity is a vector formed by taking a speed and giving it a direction.
If we said that the car in the picture was travelling at \(220 \text{ km/h}\), we would be describing its speed.
However, if we said the same care was travelling at \(220 \text{ km/h}\) to the South East, we would be describing its velocity.
