The historic Uniting Church - York is a charming gothic style granite stone church which was built in 1888. Driving down York Street, your eyes will be drawn to the magnificent building, which holds a prominent position in the town and adds to the beauty of the streetscape.
Next door to the Uniting Church is the original chapel, which now serves as the church hall. This historic building was built 36 years earlier in 1852.
Wander around the beautifully maintained church grounds to examine the exterior of the church and the craftsmanship of its builders. Then take a walk inside to take in the exquisite interior which radiates beauty when the sun hits the windows.
The magnificent place of worship is one of several churches that were significant in the development of York over the past 170 years or so. The charming town is a leisurely one and a half hour drive east of Perth.
