Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision holds a large and diverse collection of moving image and audio items, along with related documentation. The collections span Aotearoa’s sound and moving image history – from the earliest days of cinema, audio recording and television, to contemporary film, television, advertisements, music videos, computer games and radio productions. The Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision Auckland office is located at Level 1, 300 Karangahape Rd, adjacent to ARTSPACE. It hosts a medialibrary with viewing and research facilities, and a gallery space - in which we show a frequently changing series of exhibitions by New Zealand moving image artists and filmmakers, and material curated from the archive collections. Admission is free.
