Quick Start
- Open the whiteboard and choose a pen, highlighter, shape, text, note, or template.
- Write or draw directly on the canvas. Use the side panel to change colour, stroke size, background, pages, and templates.
- Use Invite to start a live session and copy the collaborator link.
- Use End when the lesson is finished. You can export a PNG before ending the live session.
Tools And Drawing
- Pen draws normal handwriting or sketches. The cursor changes to a pencil when selected.
- Highlighter draws translucent emphasis strokes for marking worked solutions or reading passages.
- Eraser has two modes. Object mode removes a whole object. Radius mode erases only the area under the eraser stroke.
- Select lets you click an object, move it, resize it, or drag-select multiple objects to group them.
- Text and Sticky note place editable writing on the canvas. Press Ctrl+Enter or blur the editor to commit.
- Line, Arrow, Rectangle, and Ellipse are useful for diagrams, annotations, and boxed steps.
- Pan moves around the board without editing content.
Teaching Templates
- Open Browse templates from the side panel.
- Search by subject, topic, diagram type, or skill, then select a template to preview it.
- Click Insert onto canvas. The first insert is grouped so it can be moved or resized as one teaching object.
- Use Ungroup if you want to edit individual labels, axes, boxes, or diagram parts.
Pages And Organisation
- Use Page to add a fresh page for a new example, activity, or student attempt.
- Use Name to label a page, such as “Example 1”, “Student working”, or “Exit ticket”.
- Use Delete to remove the current page. At least one page is always kept.
- When the teacher switches pages in a live session, collaborators are moved to the same page.
Live Collaboration
- Click Invite to start a live session.
- Choose the invite access level, then copy the matching link.
- Collaborators must enter their name before joining so the teacher can identify them.
- The teacher’s board stays the source of truth. New collaborators receive the current board snapshot after joining.
- Only two invited collaborators are currently allowed.
Access Control
- Read-only lets a collaborator view, select, and pan without editing.
- Annotate allows pen, highlighter, radius eraser, text, and notes.
- Full control allows normal editing, page changes, templates, and object manipulation.
- The teacher can change a collaborator’s access from the Collaboration panel at any time.
- Kick disconnects a collaborator. Ban removes them from the session and blocks re-entry with the same participant identity.
Save And Export
- Boards are saved locally in the browser used by the teacher.
- Export PNG downloads the current canvas as an image.
- Export board downloads a reusable board file that can be imported later.
- The app warns when browser storage is getting full. Export important boards before clearing browser storage.
- When ending a live session, the teacher can export PNG first or end without export.
Troubleshooting
- If drawing feels offset, refresh the page and avoid browser zoom levels other than 100% while testing.
- If collaborators cannot join, create a new invite link and make sure the teacher keeps the live session open.
- If storage warnings appear, export the board and remove older browser data for this site.
- If something looks wrong on iPad, Android tablet, or desktop browser, use Feedback to send a screenshot and note.
