Math Definitions - Letter F
Chapters
Finite
Definition of Finite
Something is finite if it would be possible, given enough time, to finish counting it. Finite things can be given a numerical value.
For example, the number of trees in the national park in the picture is finite, as is the number of planks in the board walk. The number of people in the picture is also finite - there's only \(1\)!
The length of the boardwalk is also finite.
