Definition of Odometer
An odometer is an instrument that records the distance travelled.
You usually find odometers on the instrument panel of a car. The instrument in the picture includes two odometers, surrounded by a speedometer (which shows the current speed of the car).
The top number \(84061.3\) is the total distance travelled by the car. The bottom number is on the "trip odometer". It shows the total distance travelled by the car since the trip odometer was last reset.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
