Definition of Ounce
An ounce is an Imperial unit of mass.
We use oz. as an abbreviation for ounces. The stick of butter in the picture weighs 4 ounces.
One ounce is equal to 28.349523125 grams. However, if you need to do conversions, it's easier to use the approximate value of 30 g for one ounce.
There's also an Imperial unit of volume called a fluid ounce, which is different from an ounce.
