Millmerran Museum and Tourist Information Centre

Favorite
As a visitor to the Millmerran Museum you will reminisce of a time gone by when you see the displays collected from the local district, many of which have been donated by the families of the district's pioneers. This is not a stark and sterile museum, it is a living, breathing and continually evolving collection from the people and the stories of Millmerran, housed in 11 buildings on site. Experience the museum's collections of pioneering histories and photographs, war, railway, schooling and dairy industry memorabilia along with so much more. The Water Baby, a steam launch - built entirely on Yandilla Station in 1877 was both a pleasure craft, taking guests for trips on the river, as well as being used to rescue stud sheep during times of flood. The Millmerran Museum also has a large section of written local histories and photographs - appointments are recommended for family research. Large groups and bus groups are most welcome. You can bring along your lunch or catering can be arranged (by prior arrangement). Millmerran Museum is a part of the Toowoomba Region Transport Heritage Trail. The tourism office is available to answer all of your regional tourism questions.
