National Trust Treasury Tunnel Tours

Favorite
The National Trust Treasury Tunnel Tours allow you to take a guided tour through the original underground tunnels of the old Adelaide Treasury Building. You will see where gold was transported, the Cabinet Room and more. This is one of the oldest and most historically significant buildings in South Australia and has an important association with the colony's administrative history and economic development. Managed by the National Trust of South Australia, the Adelaide Treasury Building itself has now been restored and redeveloped as a Adina Apartment Hotel Adelaide Treasury. The original building, designed by George Strickland Kingston was constructed in 1839, just three years after the settlement of colony. The Adina Apartment Hotel Adelaide Treasury is easily accessed, situated on the corner of King William and Flinders Streets in the heart of the city. Group tours are operated by prior arrangement Monday to Friday. Individuals are welcome on Open Days. Admission fees apply, please contact the operator for details.
