Coffin Bay Brumby Preservation Society Incorporated
Coffin Bay Brumby Preservation Society Incorporated

The Coffin Bay Brumby Preservation Society Incorporated manages the Coffin Bay Brumby’s. These are the only 100 per cent managed herd of wild brumby’s in Australia, representing the heritage of the Eyre Peninsula since European colonisation.
The Coffin Bay Brumby’s are wild horses that now live on land being purchased by the society. This is part of their original grazing land just outside the township of Coffin Bay.
The Brumby is part of this unique area, having cemented their place with history and in the hearts of the local community and visitors. Securing long-term safe tenure for them remains the main objective of the Coffin Bay Brumby Preservation Society Incorporated.
The Brumby’s now have a permanent home of approximately 900 acres for which the society is busily raising money.
