Our number system is based on the system developed by the Hindus and the Arabs in the sixth or seventh century. So, it is called the Hindu-Arabic number system.

It uses the digits \(0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8\) and \(9\), and the positions of the digits within a number determine their place value.

Description

The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
