Definition of Histogram
A histogram is a graphical method of displaying data.
The data is grouped into ranges, say \(3-5\) and \(6-7\), and each range is plotted as one bar in the histogram.
It is similar to a Bar Graph, but there are no gaps between the columns and each bar represents a range of data, rather than a single data value.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
