Definition of Hyperbola
A hyperbola is an arch-shaped curve with two branches. It is one of the conic sections.
A hyperbola may be described as the locus of a point which moves so that the distances
- From the point to a fixed point called the focus, and
- From the point to a fixed straight line called the directrix
Description
