The binary number system uses only two digits: \(0\) and \(1\). For this reason, it is sometimes called the Base-2 number system
For example,

- \(1010\) in Binary equals \(10\) as a decimal number.
- \(1111\) in Binary equals \(15\) as a decimal number.
