Definition of Pie Chart or Pie Graph
A Pie Chart (or Pie Graph) uses sectors of a circle to represent data.
The data is broken up into categories, depending on responses to a question.
The size of each sector shows what proportion of the data is in each category.
In the example, the pie chart displays the proportions of the total number of scouts attending a district camp who come from each scout group in the district.
Description
The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms. Students learn a new math skill every week at school, sometimes just before they start a new skill, if they want to look at what a specific term means, this is where this dictionary will become handy and a go-to guide for a student.
