Definition of Additive Inverse
The additive inverse of a number \(x\) is the number you add to \(x\) to get \(0\).
The additive inverse of \(x\) is equal to \(-x\)
\( x + (-x) = (-x) + x =0. \)
Every number has an additive inverse.
Description
