Definition of Equidistant

Equidistant things are the same distance from each other, or away from other things.

For example, parallel lines are always equidistant from each other.

The two outside lines in the picture are equidistant from the point in the middle. The set of all points that are equidistant from these lines forms a straight line that goes through the middle point.

Description

The aim of this dictionary is to provide definitions to common mathematical terms.
