Definition of Transformation
A transformation is a way of changing a shape. Transformations can be any one of the following:
- Turns (or rotations)
- Flips
- Slides (or translations)
- Resizing (enlargement or reduction)
The first three types of transformations do not alter the object's appearance. They only change its position in space.
The picture shows an example of a turn (rotation).
